Engagement Session: Dayna and Chad / Houston Engagement Photographer

It was such a pleasure to meet Dayna and Chad last week for their engagement session at Hermann Park... the weather was absolutely perfect. I'm loving this cool October weather in Houston.  I wish it would stay like this year round.  I'm posting a random few that caught my eye.

So Fresh... / Houston Newborn Photography

I'm so happy to share a sneak peek into the beautiful session into this family's newborn session. He started off wide awake, wanting to know what was going on, and after a good tummy-filling feeding, he went right to sleep.  This session was in their home, using window light.

Turning 2

This blog post is long overdue... her energetic session having been in June....  Oh man can I relate the the energy a two year old has...

Our session was mostly indoors...

...and unkowingly ended up outdoors on our trampoline!  I love everything about this image, the gigantic smile, the rosy cheeks, the sweaty bangs, and even her dirty hand.  I can actually still hear her giggles!

I would love this on a huge canvas on one of my studio walls (one day, sigh), because of the happiness it translates.

Waiting... Houston Maternity Photographer

I'm so excited for my expecting cousin.... she's due any time now.  Her maternity portraits were taken about four weeks ago.  I look forward to meeting their beautiful baby boy very soon.

I've started to play around with artistic overlays on my photographs.  At times, I think it adds to an image, other times, I think images don't need anything else.

Gosh... just look at this cuteness...  I'm so glad our third reschedule finally worked out. He did so well during his session, gave us so many expressions!  Can you hear his excitement in the first image, so adorable!

Long time due for a blog post.... and although I have plenty to share from sessions from the past eight months or so, I'm choosing to share my most recent, a session that's just three days old... and mommy is waiting anxiously for a sneak peek into what the gallery contains.    It was tough choosing just three.

Changes coming soon......

It sure has been a while since I've posted anything on my blog.  Yes, I've been photographing, I just haven't been blogging.  In part, it was because of frustration.  I felt that the blog wasn't producing anything for me.  I wasn't getting any comments, so I figured no one was reading.... well, to my surprise, I've had about 5 people ask me why I haven't posted anything.  And on another side, my plate was overflowing.  I had to take something off my plate, and since I figured no one was reading, well, why waste my time.  So, I took blogging off my list. 
But, the more I think about my business and how I want it to grow, I've decided I need to make some changes.  For one, I'll be updating my blog again, wheather it be business or personal.  The layout is going to change soon, too.... so stay tuned.  Which brings me to say, if you happen to look into the blog, and don't know what's going on, it might be that you've caught me right in the middle of making changes to the design layout.
